Non-Chemical Worm Control Methods

Avoiding the reliance of drenching for worm control can provide more efficient worm control, and reduce the rate of development of resistance by worms to drenches.

Non-chemical worm control methods should be part of an integrated parasite management program that incorporates both chemical and non-chemical controls, such as pasture management.

On-farm management practices should be assessed for their economic benefit on a farm-by-farm basis and should also ensure animals do not suffer from poor health or welfare issues by not being drenched.
