Other Internal Parasites of Cattle

Cattle also suffer from the effects of parasites other than worms, such as the protozoa (single celled parasites).

These are often a cause of disease particularly when young stock are held at high stocking rates under wet, unhygienic conditions, or feed is contaminated with dog faeces carrying infective stages, or cattle are stressed from other diseases, other parasites or poor nutrition.
